The $100M Path™

8 stages. One destination.

Most founders plateau not because their idea was wrong — but because they didn’t know what milestone came next. The $100M Path™ maps eight stages from first revenue to $100M — each with a specific constraint, a graduation threshold, and the right investor for that stage.

Your PitchScore™ is weighted for the stage you’re at.
A pre-revenue founder isn’t marked against a Series B yardstick. Hit 75 and you’re in — your company enters the Verdict™ database and gets matched to investors who fund companies at your stage. Miss it and you’ll know exactly which gap cost you, and what to fix first.

Idea to Action

Problem validated. First revenue in.

SPARK is where most startups live for longer than they admit. The product exists. The first customers might be paying. The question is whether the founder can prove enough people will consistently pay for it before the money runs out. Most startups die here — not because the idea was wrong, but because the founder couldn't validate fast enough.

Product-market fit signals are visible.

START companies have moved past survival mode. MRR is growing consistently. LTV:CAC is above 3×. Day-30 retention is holding. The challenge shifts from 'will anyone pay' to 'can we grow this repeatably at a sustainable cost.' This is the stage that separates idea companies from real companies. Angel investors are the primary match.

SELL companies are past product-market fit and into go-to-market fit. The question is no longer whether the product sells — it's whether it sells without the founder in the room. Founder’s Mindset™ · Machine Mode™
What gets you here won’t get you there.
Most companies don’t fail at market. They fail at the management transition between stages. Each inflection point requires the founder to operate differently — not just more. This is Machine Mode™ — the Founder’s Mindset™ lever PitchScore™ scores.
Stage 1–2 → Stage 3
Family → Tribe
Can you hire the first person who is not a co-founder — and let go of the thing they now own? Most founders cannot. They hire and then hover. The business does not scale.
VerdictStar™ test: Does the founder describe the team’s work, or only their own?
Stage 3–4 → Stage 5
Tribe → Village
Can you manage managers, not just contributors? This is the transition where most Series A–funded companies stall. The founder who was an excellent individual leader becomes the bottleneck to everyone they manage.
VerdictStar™ test: Has the founder hired and retained a manager who delivers results independently?
Stage 5 → VALLARIS™
Village → City
Can you set strategy without being involved in operations? At this stage the C-suite must run the business. The founder sets direction, allocates capital, and makes the calls that only the founder can make. Everything else is delegated.
VALLARIS™ readiness: C-suite complete, founder is CEO not operator.
Management transition thresholds integrated into DRIVE™ scoring and $100M Path™ milestone tracker. VerdictStar™ flags transition readiness gaps before they become execution failures.
Questions
What is The $100M Path™?

An eight-stage map of how a company gets from pre-revenue to exit: SPARK, START, SELL, SCALE, STRUCTURE, SYSTEMISE, STREAMLINE, SEGMENT. Each stage names the ARR band, the round size, the investor type who funds it, and the single constraint that has to be cleared to move on. Stages 1–5 sit below US$10M ARR and are Verdict™ territory; stages 6–8 are VALLARIS™ M&A advisory.

Which stage am I at?

Your stage is set by verified recurring revenue, not by your last round. SPARK is pre-revenue, START runs to US$250K ARR, SELL to US$1M, SCALE to US$3M, STRUCTURE to US$10M. Revenue is confirmed through PathProven MRR™ by read-only connection to your payment processor; pre-revenue founders verify distribution through PathProven Reach™ instead.

Does my PitchScore™ change depending on my stage?

Yes. PitchScore™ is stage-weighted, so the same evidence scores differently at different stages. At SPARK, Team carries 22% of the score and Financials 1%; by STRUCTURE those invert to 8% and 18%. Because the weighting already adjusts for stage, the pass mark does not — it is 75 at every stage.

What happens when I reach US$10M ARR?

You cross out of Verdict™ territory into VALLARIS™. Above US$10M, institutional governance requires a named credentialled professional who signs the valuation and carries the liability — that is advisory work, not platform matching. Verdict™ matches and scores below US$10M; VALLARIS™ handles the transaction above it.

Why do the stage metrics show a dash instead of a number?

Because Verdict™ does not yet have enough scored companies to publish a benchmark that would survive scrutiny. The metrics name what an investor asks for at each stage; the figures stay blank until they can be published with a sample size and an as-of date. An unsourced benchmark is worth less than an honest gap.
