Illustrative read — the figures are teaching numbers showing how The $100M Path™ would have read this deal, not an actual Verdict™ score.
Quibi launched in April 2020 with a dream team, a full war chest, and short-form premium video for mobile. By December 2020 it was gone. It had raised $1.75 billion; it had not found anyone who needed the product.
The case for
Elite founders, marquee content deals, and a fully funded balance sheet. On paper, every input a company could want.
The case against — the decider
Stage-fit. Capital ran years ahead of proof. Quibi scaled spending and content commitments before it had evidence that the demand existed — before a single stage’s bar had actually been cleared. The $100M Path™ is a sequence for a reason: money deployed ahead of proof doesn’t buy a demand curve, it just funds the discovery that there isn’t one, faster.
The read is roughly 30 for. Funding is not traction.
On the deal in front of you
A full war chest is not a demand curve. The most dangerous deal is the one with every input except the one that matters — evidence that someone needs it.
That is what PitchScore™ and the ODDS Memo™ hand an investor on a live deal: the case for, the case against, and the dimension that decides it — before the outcome is known. These are reads, not probabilities. See the coin on your deal →
